Sam "checked out" of Hotel de Iredell about 4pm today. He was late getting his chemo and discharged so he was VERY ready to get out and come home. Especially since it ended up being a nice sunny day today. Once he gets admitted he can't leave the 4th floor at all. He just wanted to get outside after being indoors the entire week. The first thing he did when he came home was go outside and the clean the windows on the Jeep. . . typical Sam!!!
Dr. Sholar said he did excellent this week! He looks so much better this time from his last hospital stay. He didn't have any swelling and tolerated the chemo much better. Also his AFP and BHCG (cancer marker levels) are within the normal range!! So the chemo is working. Praising the Lord for all this good news! He'll have the bleomcyin the next two Mondays at the infusion center and then back to the hospital on Feb 13th.
We have had several unexpected blessings this week! Thankful for them and for those that continue to encourage us and cover us in prayer!
