I'm finding out what Moses said in this verse is so very true! The Bible is not just words but LIFE!
"They are not just idle words for you--they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess." ~Deuteronomy 32:47

Day One Begins

Sam is getting all settled down in the hospital. We've been here since about 9am. We were supposed to be here at 8am but going to the hospital to get 5 days of chemo is not something you jump out of bed excited to do.

He's had all his premed drugs and 1 (bleomycin) of the 3 chemo drugs he will be getting today. He has 3 drugs today and only 2 (etoposide and platinum) drugs Tuesday through Friday. The nurse said he may experience some nausea today but typically side effects start really showing around day 3.

Specific prayer requests: Pray for his kidneys not to be damaged by the platinum. They are keeping him hydrated with IV fluids to prevent this. Coping with the side effects.

The kids: Ethan has to start back school tomorrow after being out for Christmas break so that will be tough. Nora is going back to daycare tomorrow. I'm also probably going to try to work some tomorrow.

New schedules and new routines are going to be an adjustment. Trusting the Lord to carry us through!
